The roofline is referring to the fascia, soffit and guttering on your property. There are many types and colours available when it comes to replacements, as well as the option of a full replacement or capping board. Full Replacement or Capping?
Essentially a full replacement system will see all the existing guttering, fascia and soffit removed back to bare roof trusses and installing new timbers where needed before installing the new uPVC fascia and soffit, typically full replacement fascia is at least 18mm. This is essential if your existing fascia and soffit are rotted and no longer structurally sound.
If your existing fascia and soffit are still structurally sound, and you are just wanting to update the appearance of the property, then capping board may be a more cost-effective solution for you. uPVC capping board is the same as full replacement board except it is typically only 9mm. This is installed directly over the top of the existing wooden fascia boards and pinned through directly to the rafters.
